Red sky at night

Soms zie je prachtige gekleurde wolken wanneer de zon onder gaat. Soms roze, soms rood. Het schilderij dat ik als inspiratiebron heb gebruikt, was overwegend rood en daar moest ik aan denken, aan de prachtige wolkenkleuren. Het is een redelijk groot schilderij, 146 x 114 en de kleur spat van het doek. Het is geschilderd door Kees van Dongen in 1911 en ik heb het bewonderd in museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam in 2010.

De kleuren zijn van Histor: Vanile geel, Lieveheersbeestje rood, Nomade blauw en Groots blauw. Het stalen krukje/hocker/poef is van Morosa, ontwerp van Nendo. Deze vind ik prachtig! Plaid is van Missoni Home. De gigantische klokvorm lamp met geplisseerde stof is van Manuel Vivian van Axo Light en heeft een diameter van 1,80 meter. Een lamp die je weer aan doet, als de zon onder is gegaan en de prachtige rode wolkendek is verdwenen in de nacht.

Sometimes you see those beautiful colored clouds when the sun goes down. Sometimes pink, sometimes red. The painting I've used as inspiration was predominantly red, and I had to think about the beautiful clouds colors. It is a fairly large painting, 146 x 114 and the color splashes from the canvas. It is painted by Kees van Dongen in 1911 and I have admired it in the museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam in 2010.

The colors are from Histor: Vaille, Coccinelle, Nomade, Grandiose. The steel stool is from Morosa and design by Nendo. I find it very beautiful! The plaid is by Missoni Home. The massive bell shaped lamp with pleated fabric is from Manuel Vivian, Axo Light and has a dameter of 1.80 meters. A lamp that you will switch on, when the sun has gone and the beautiful red clouds has disappeared into the night.
